Ken Duncan on creating the ultimate archival book

In his latest video Ken Duncan aka “Printman” talks about the importance of printed photographic works on quality inkjet paper and how to showcase your art in an archival leather bound presentation book.

Ken showcases how he produces his limited edition books and discusses what tools and materials are used in their production to ensure the highest quality and longevity. Ken encourages photographers to produce their own books to tell their unique photographic story.

Photographic archival books not only capture a photographers journey but also act as historical documents making them an invaluable addition to any art collection. For his book production Ken employs the skills of Australian artisans Momento for their painstaking attention to detail and superior product quality. All images that make up Ken’s limited edition Portfiolo Collection books are printed using an Epson SureColor P800 17″ Printer with Epson Ultrachrome Inks which are, in Ken’s opinion, “the finest archival pigment inks on the market”.

Ken prints his images onto Hahnemuhle Photo Rag DUO 276 fine art inkjet paper and coats each page with protective spray to protect the print from surface contaminates and for UV protection.
