Neschen Filmoplast SH

Fabric tape designed to repair book spines.

When the application calls for exceptional strength, filmoplast SH is the answer. Made from an very fine threaded white linen fabric, this tape is coated with a high tack acrylic adhesive that bonds well to a variety of surfaces. Most often used for hinging hard covers to the book block, booking window mats to the backing boards or other applications where extreme strength and durability is needed.

Professional picture framers use filmoplast SH to hinge or “book” the window mat to the backboard, keeping the two in perfect registration. filmoplast SH can also be used in conjunction with our filmoplast P90 to create a high strength art hinge.

The adhesive is both acid and solvent-free and will not dry out or become brittle with age.
